PACK WALKS
Socialization is key to providing balance and understanding for dogs with the world they live in. This Pack Walk is an on-leash socialization experience with leash handling training touch-up for previous clients. Unlike other pack walks, there are no on-leash meetings.
Think of it as team-building for dogs and humans! The magic happens when dogs and handlers learn to trust each other and tune in as a team. Our focus is on strengthening that connection rather than reacting to everything happening around us.
Together, we build a calm, confident pack culture where every dog is respected for who they are, with plenty of room for personal space, individual comfort levels, and success at their own pace.
Pack walks are an excellent opportunity to socialize your dog with others without the pressure of interaction. If your dog cannot contain their excitement when you pass another dog, your dog needs this! If you are nervous about having your dog around other dogs, you need this! If you've been struggling or just want to get back into the swing of things, this is for you, too!
These walks are also a fantastic way to meet fellow dog handlers who get it. Let's be honest, we've all had those moments where it feels like our dog is winning the "Most Likely to Cause a Scene" award. The good news? You're not alone! Spend time with others navigating similar challenges, celebrate each other's wins, swap stories from the trenches, and see firsthand what's possible with consistency and practice. As a bonus, your dog gets plenty of healthy mental and physical exercise, which means you can enjoy your weekend plans without feeling quite so guilty about that afternoon nap or lazy day on the couch.
You will need control of your dog so that he may respect the space of the dogs around him. Dogs need to be on a 6-foot leash and safe collar or harness per the leash laws in New York. Retractable leashes are not allowed for this activity.
