Here's my little secret: I'm not really in the dog-training business, I'm in the people-training business.

I believe lasting success comes from teaching people how to better understand, communicate with, and advocate for their dogs. Dogs are already experts at being dogs!

 

My job is to help YOU understand what they're saying, why they're doing it, and how to support your dog so you can build a happy, confident partnership that lasts a lifetime.

The problem is not the dog or you... it's that the two of you are having completely different conversations? MIND. BLOWN. Right!? Hang on to your leashes, because I don't think your dog doesn't actually need more sits, downs, or a perfect heel. Those are strong skills, but what your dog really needs is to learn how to think. They need the confidence and skills to make good choices on their own.
 

Let me translate... most dogs have no need for the basic commands we think define a good dog from a bad. What they do need is to stay around our area, avoid harassing other people or dogs, and stay calm and relaxed. 

Often, we spend our time shouting our commands our dog never understood, let alone mastered. Before long, we're frustrated and our dogs are getting really good at practicing all the wrong things. Been there?
